Description
10/26/26 - This is a minty Colt Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1942. Only about 100,000 were produced that year, compared to over 750,000 in 1943. It is all correct, "United States Property" marked, and has the proper "WB" inspector initials. The slide is numbered and matching, and it has a proper "Colt 45 Auto" barrel with a large "G" under the lug. The original finish rates about 97%, with just the slightest hints of high edge and muzzle wear and one small area of wear on the front strap. Profiles are minty. Fitted with period-correct reddish plastic grips, and it comes with a proper "L" marked magazine. The bore is like new, 10/10. A beautiful, all-correct 1942 WB Colt.
