Description

1/14/25 - This is a minty example of a Spreewerk P.38 issued to the Nazi military in August of 1943. All matching with the proper "Eagle 88" military acceptance proofs throughout. There is an asterisk marking on the left side of the barrel, indicating it failed initial inspection and was repaired at the factory - a desirable trait for collectors. This one has retained about 97% of its original finish with just very minor thinning on the front strap and very minor wear around the muzzle and on some of the high edges. Fitted with excellent reddish bakelite grips. Comes with a correct "Eagle 88" magazine, but is pictured with an unmarked magazine. The bore is shiny with strong rifling for the most part, but there is light freckling throughout. The hold-open and de-cocker both work flawlessly.
