5/21/21 - This is a minty example of an Australian Lithgow SMLE Mk III* Rifle, manufactured in 1944. The gun is all matching and has the proper military proofs. The gun comes with an excellent 1943-dated bayonet and leather scabbard. Both the gun and bayonet are mark "Australia" in the wood. The bayonet and gun are mismatched to each other. The gun has retained most of its finish with areas of minor discoloration here and there and minor wear along the high edges. The stock is excellent with minor handling marks here and there. The stock is numbered and matches the gun. Mint bore.
