Description
7/1/26 - This is a minty example of an early Colt National Match from 1958. The Colt National Match 1911 is Colt’s competition-grade version of the classic Government Model, built for precision and shooter-grade durability at a time when competitive pistol shooting was booming in the United States. chambered in .45 ACP, the National Match features Colt’s heavier, tuned National Match barrel and bushing, improved slide-to-frame fit, and a hand-fitted, polished feed ramp and barrel throat for reliable, accurate feeding - usually paired with adjustable target sights, a National Match hammer and sear, and checkered walnut or laminated target grips. This one is an earlier example with no "Gold Cup" roll stamp on the slide. It has retained nearly all of its finish, but there is some light surface scratching on the slide (mostly on the right) and a few light scuffs on the front strap. Minty bore. It comes with its original matching-numbered box and one magazine.
