Description
10/29/26 - This is a minty American Historical Foundation "General George S. Patton, Jr." Walther PP Limited Edition, numbered P020. The edition honors the engraved Walther PP presented to General Patton after his Third Army captured the Walther factory at Zella-Mehlis in April 1945; Patton's original now resides at the Patton Museum at Fort Knox. The gun is a West German Walther PP chambered in 7.65mm, marked "Carl Walther Waffenfabrik Ulm/Do." on the left side of the slide. It is fully engraved in a deep oak leaf pattern over a bright silver-plated finish, with "GEORGE S. PATTON" cut along the top of the slide and checkered accents throughout. Fitted with ivory grips with Patton's "GSP" initials inscribed on the right panel. The finish is minty, with just some mild tarnish, mostly in the slide serrations and on the butt of the frame. It comes with one magazine in its original walnut presentation case with a glass lid, lined in purple velvet and displayed with four general's stars, campaign ribbons, and an engraved American Historical Foundation plaque. A minty, cased Patton commemorative that displays beautifully. Minty bore.
