Description
2/26/26 - This is a near-mint example of a Smith & Wesson Model 27-2 revolver, chambered in .357 Magnum. Fitted with the desirable 8 3/8" barrel, this revolver also comes with the serrated front strap, rear strap, and trigger, as well as the adjustable rear sight and front patridge front sight, often found on earlier S&W target models. This firearm has retained roughly 98% of its original blued finish, with only minor finish loss existing as a hint of muzzle wear, a small scratch on the right side of the frame by the yoke release screw, and a light turn line on the cylinder. Comes fitted with the period-correct target-style grips, though they are not serialized so we cannot confirm they are the ones that originally came with the firearm. The grip panels show no signs of cracks or chips. The bore is bright with crisp rifling, but does have what appears to be a section of grind marks about 1/2 inch into the barrel towards the bottom right of the bore. Section is roughly 1/2" - 1" in length. Mechanically sound with proper lock-up and timing. Comes with wooden case (rear left hinge is broken and does not hold when opened), cleaning rod with two heads, and a screwdriver.
