Description

7/19/18 - This is a near-mint Colt M1911A1 rig, manufactured in 1942 with all correct inspector marks and proof stamps.  The pistol retains 98-99% original parkerized finish with only minor finish loss on the underside of the slide.  The slide is numbered to the frame, and the scarce barrel is 'G' proofed under the lug and has a mint bore.  Minty grips and an 'R' marked magazine.  The pistol comes with a 1942 dated Sears holster, as well as the original canvas belt with magazine pouch and first aid kit.  Just an excellent example of an 'as issued' wartime rig.
