Description
2/23/22 - This is a minty example of an Ithaca Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1943. It has the proper cross-canon military cartouche, "FJA" inspector initials, and it is properly "United States Property"-marked. It has a Springfield barrel. The finish on the slide and frame do not match perfectly, so we believe they were likely paired later. In any case, the gun has retained about 97% of its original finish on the parts. There is just very minor thinning and some small dots of patina on the front strap. A few very minor scuffs here and there along the slide. Grips are sharply checkered but appears someone smoothed down the checkering at the edges. it is photographed with a post-war magazine, but it does come with a period-correct Risdon magazine.Specifications
