3/12/26 - This is a near-mint example of a Smith & Wesson .38 Military & Police revolver, often referred to as a Pre-Model 10. This revolver is all-matching with the barrel, cylinder, crane, star extractor, and grip panels all serialized to the frame. This firearm has retained about 98% of its original finish. The only notable loss exists as very light muzzle wear, a hint of high-edge wear, and a faint turn line on the cylinder. This S&W is fitted with the original, serialized wood grip panels which show no sign of chips or cracks. The bore in the 6" barrel has been well maintained and has a bright, mirrored finish. There are some signs of light use on the rifling. Mechanically sound with proper lock-up and timing. This revolver comes with a period-correct Smith & Wesson box, though it is not serialized so we cannot confirm it is original to the firearm.
