Description
2/23/26 - This is a beautiful, near-mint example of a Smith & Wesson Model 1917 issued to the US military during WW1. It is all matching, "United States Property" marked, and has the proper flaming bomb military acceptance proof. It has retained about 98% of its original high polish bluing with just hints of high edge wear, a light roll mark on the cylinder, and a small spot of finish loss on the metal between the bottom of the grips. Fitted with excellent wood grips - the right side is numbered in pencil to match the gun. Excellent bore that is bright with strong rifling.
