Description
7/28/26 - This is a near-mint example of a Smith & Wesson Model 1917 issued to the US military during WW1. It is all matching, "United States Property" marked, and has the proper flaming bomb military acceptance proof. It comes as a complete rig with a field manual (originally dated 1941), a very nice 1942-dated Textan holster, an original canvas belt, 1918-dated canvas ammo pouches, a canvas lanyard, six original ammo cartridges, and two half moon clips. The gun has retained about 97% of its original and beautiful high polish bluing. There is just very minor muzzle wear, two small streaks of minor wear on both sides of the barrel, and just hints of high edge wear. Fitted with excellent wood grips - the right side is hand-numbered and matching to the gun. Excellent bore with strong rifling.
