SOLD - Minty WWII M34 Wehrmacht Heer Side Cap - Einheitsmütze
| Year: | WWII |
| Type: | Cap |
| Condition: | Near-Mint |
Description
11/2/26 - This is a near-mint example of a WWII-era Einheitsmütze, or Overseas/Side Cap, manufactured for the German Wehrmacht Heer. These were the standard issue caps for the enlisted men in the German Army. This side cap has retained its factory sewn insignias (Nazi eagle holding a swastika in its talons and a national tri-color cockade) with no signs of any separation between the cap and the patches. The field-gray wool is in excellent shape with no signs of any ripping or tearing. There is a small area on the top left of the cap (~ 1" in diamater) that shows some thinning in the exterior wool, however this does not penetrate beyond the exterior. The interior of the overseas cap bears a "58" size ink stamp, but no other markings are seemingly present. The interior shows some light signs of discoloration from wear, but no wear damage or tears in the lining. The stitches on this cap are all in excellent condition with no signs of pulling or torn threads. Overall this is an almost mint example of a German M34 cap.
