Description
6/9/25 - For sale is a Japanese Type 38 Arisaka made by the Nagoya Arsenal. The rifle is in great shape and retains anice blued finish throughout the metal. The Imperial Mum has been ground. There are a couple patches of surface corrosion on the barrel shank. The stock is in great shape with plenty of bumps and handling marks. No cracks or breaks to note. The bore is fairly bright with good rifling. The rifling has the unique peep sight seen on late Nagoya Type 38's and Mukden rifles. The rifle has matching numbers on the receiver, bolt, safety knob, and bayonet lug. The bayonet was made by Tokyo Arsenal / Kokura and has not been sharpened. The scabbard has a couple dents. The grip panels show plenty of wear and there is a crack about 1/4" in length on the left side.
