SOLD - Navy 1911 Colt ! Submarine pistol

Date Added: 6/1 - The gun may not be mint but this 1911 Colt could be the center piece of your collection!!. Issued to Lt Commander (later Captain) Raymond Meader of the USN around 1917, (This pistol was one of the 5,800 made in 1913 for the USN according to the serial number on the weapon). The gun is about 90% with original finish and nice bore. Most of the wear is on the straps. He enlisted as a radio man into the Submarine service and served in WW1. He later served administratively (in Africa) during WW2. Carried this Colt side arm thru both wars. Sale includes his medals (including a sub service medal), officers hat, holster and other items.
