Description
2/21/26 - This is a nice, honest example of a rare Mauser Luger issued to the Kriegsmarine in 1938. The gun is all matching, has the proper "Eagle 63" military proofs, and has a rare Ostmark "O3598" property marking on the front strap. This property mark indicates its issuance to the Eastern Sea (Baltic), and is rarer than the N (North Sea) property mark. The original finish on the gun rates about 85-90%. Most of the wear is on the grip straps and side of the barrel. There is also minor muzzle wear and high edge wear. Comes with very good period correct but unnumbered wood grips. There is a visible gouge on the top of the right grip. The gun has a typical Mauser marked military magazine, not a navy magazine. The bore has very strong rifling, but there is frost in the grooves.
