08/24/26 - For sale is a Winchester Model 12 made in 1941 that was issued to the US Military as a Riot Gun. Early Riot guns adopted by the US military did not use the flaming bomb on the receiver until mid-late April. The gun has a nice polished blue finish on the receiver with some visible wear and some marring at the front of the receiver. The barrel has a nice military blue finish with some light finish loss from oxidation. The stock and forend are both in great shape with light surface scuffing. The left side of the stock is stamped with the correct WM stamp and the crossed cannons. The bore is bright. The barrel is a correct cylinder bore but is measuring 20.75", instead of the standard 22". The top of the barrel is stamped with the Winchester WP Proof and a flaming bomb. The receiver is stamped US on the left side.
