Description
2/24/26 - This is a nice example of a Spreewerk P.38 that was manufactured in May/June of 1944. Interestingly, this gun has four proof marks on the right slide and an asterisk proof on the high corner on the rear right slide. These marks likely suggest that this gun was rearsenaled by the Germans at some point, and was reinspected/reproofed and reissued to the German military. The original blue rates at ~90% with wear on high edges, on the left side of the barrel, near the muzzle, on the forward right slide, above the trigger guard on the right frame, and on the front strap. The gun has excellent grips and a bore with strong rifling but shows some frosting. The magazine is a correct Spreewerk "jvd" magazine. This listing is a sister listing to another Spreewerk P.38 that is two serial numbers away.
