Description
10/06/26 - For sale is a banner marked Mauser Wehrmannsgewehr chambered in 8.15x46r and manufactured in the 1930s. The 8.15x46r was a sporting cartridge introduced prior to WW1, and these rifles were called a Wehrmannsgewehr or "Soldier's rifle," a way for civilians to go target shooting with a military-style rifle. The receiver ring carries the Mauser banner, and the left side rail is marked "Mauser-Werke A.G. Oberndorf a.N." The rifle retains a nice blued finish throughout, with some light freckling of oxidation on the surface. The bolt stop retains a nice plum color, while the buttplate shows heavy loss. The stock is in overall excellent condition with light handling wear and dents, and there is an unrepaired duffle cut under the rear barrel band. The bore is bright with strong rifling. The following parts are matching:
- Receiver
- Barrel
- Bolt assembly
