Description

08/26/2024 - For sale is a nice French R35 Carbine made by St Etienne. The R35 is a carbine variant of the Mle 1886 Lebel rifle for the ramp up to WW2. The rifle retains a lot of its original black enamle finish but there is a lot of finish wear throughout. The receiver is stamped with the MAS stamp and the MLE 1886 M93 R35 model number. The stock is also well worn and there are 4 cracks in the stock; one at the bottom behind the receiver tang, one above the trigger on the right side, one on the top of the stock, and one on the left side from the buttplate. The rifle has matching serial numbers on the barrel and bolt. The bore is bright with good rifling but there are some micro pitting visible in the grooves. The rifle comes with a cut down 1886 bayonet.
