07/08/2024 - For sale is a K98k modified by the Israeli Self Defense Forces using surpluses German Mausers. This rifle uses a 1940 JP Sauer receiver and has been re-barreled to 7.62x51 NATO. The metal has a nice parkerized finish but there are 3 holes drilled and tapped into the left side of the receiver. This screw pattern does not match existing K98k sniper patterns. The stock looks to have been replaced and is in excellent condition but there is some material cut away where screw holes are on the receiver. This stock does lack the typical "7.62" stamping on the bottom. The bore is mirror bright with great rifling. The bolt does not match the rifle.
