7/24/26 - This is a nice example of a M1892 Krag bayonet that was manufactured in 1896. This bayonet comes with an original metal scabbard with hanger. The hanger is in great mechanical shape with no signs of any damage or repairs and the hanger swivel spins smoothly with little resistance. The blade on this bayonet is bright with no signs of any chips or cracks. There is some spots of patina on the blade, primarily focused near the blade edge. One side of the blade is stamped "US", and the other side is stamped "1896". The crossguard and the pommel are in great functional shape. The crossguard has some light patina and freckling present, primarily underneath the guard near the handle. The pommel has some even patina on each side. the bayonet release button has smooth travel with moderate tension. The wooden grip panels are in excellent shape with no signs of chips or cracks. The grip is right with no gaps.
