Description
3/24/26 - This is an example of a Spreewerk P.38 issued to the Nazi military in September of 1944. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 88" military acceptance proofs throughout. It comes as a rig with one E/88 magazine, and a 1944-dated holster. The gun has retained about 90% of its original finish with some high edge wear, some honest thinning on the front strap, some finish loss/oxidation on the barrel, and slide. There is also an area of discoloration on the right side of the slide. The initials "AL" are lightly scratched into the frame above the trigger. Fitted with period-correct blackish-brown bakelite grips. Bore is bright with strong rifling. De-cocker is functional. The holster is in good shape with lightly visible stampings of the maker marks. There is a small hole going through the top flap into the top of the magazine pouch. There are initials carved into the holster underneath the closure strap.
