03/11/25 - For sale is a nice M1D sniper that was built on a Springfield receiver from 1943. The rifle is is great shape with the metal having a nice darkened parkerized finish. The stock is excellent with minor handling marks and dings throughout. A leather cheek rest is on the stock marked "MRT" on the right side. The bore is bright with strong rifling. The throat erosion rates a 2. The gas cylinder cap is seized in place and we cannot check the muzzle erosion. The M84 scope is in great shape with a clear lens and a sharp reticle. Interestingly, it has no serial number on the plate. There is a speck visible on the top right through the optic. A CMP COA, Scope cover, and a Department of Army Technical Manual for the M1, M1c, and M1D Sniper are included.
