09/29/26 - For sale is a Springfield Model 1873 Trapdoor Rifle chambered in .45-70 Gov't, made in 1883. The rifle is in good shape, showing a mixture of old bluing, dark grey, and brown patina. There are some freckles of oxidation throughout. The stock is in good shape, but there is a hairline 1/2" crack behind the lockplate. The bore is bright with strong rifling, but there is some faint shallow pitting in the grooves towards the muzzle. Action functions properly.
