Description
12/30/24 - This is a rare German G33/40 Mountain carbine from World War II. After the annexation of Czechoslovakia, the Germans would use the Vz.33 Carbines and turn them into the G 33/40 carbines which were issued to the German “Gebirgstruppen”, or Mountain Infantry, where the metal plate on the left side of the butt was used to keep the stock from harm while using the rifle for assistance in climbing. This one is dated 1942 has a "dot" factory code on the receiver, indicating it was made by Waffenwerke Brunn. The metal is in good condition but the finish is wearing away and fading grey. The stock is in good shape with no cracks. The bolt and bayonet lug do not match the receiver. The bore is fairly bright but there is pitting visible in the grooves.Specifications
