Description
10/29/26 - This is a very nice example of a WWII-era Walther police flare pistol. This flare gun has retained a majority of its original finish with some light high-edge and muzzle wear, primarily on the sides where the flare gun would rest. There are some sparse blemishes and surface scratches present on the sides of the receiver, though these have resulted in very minimal actual color loss. The top of the barrel, primarily on the right side does have a series of scratches that have resulted in some color loss. The left side of the receiver bears the Walther legend written out over the Walther banner. Below that near the front of the receiver, it has the serial number "50193L", which can also be seen on the left side of the barrel mounting point in front of the break point. The right side of the barrel and frame both bear the proper Eagle acceptance proof stamp, and the frame also holds the Eagle/C police proof, indicating its Nazi police service. This Walther flare gun is fitted with period-correct black bakelite grip panels which show no signs of any chips or cracks. The bottom lanyard ring has a tight attachment to the bottom of the grip, however it does still swivel with some resistance. Attached to the lanyard loop is a leather lanyard, though this strap is believed to be a reproduction. This M1934 flare pistol comes with (1) flare cartridge.
