Description
10/19/26 - This is a DWM Luger sold in the commercial market in the 1920s, chambered in .30 Luger, that has been completely nickel plated. After WWI, the Treaty of Versailles restricted German pistol production, and DWM turned to the commercial and export trade with .30 caliber Lugers like this one. It is almost entirely matching, but the hold open is mismatched. It has the proper "Crown N" commercial proofs and a "GERMANY" export marking on the right side rail. The nickel plating has retained nearly all of its finish, with typical micro scratching here and there and a few small dings in the metal on the side plate. Fitted with replaced wood grips with a small chip in the upper corner of the left panel. Comes with a period-correct magazine, but the aluminum magazine base has been replaced. Please note that the hold open does not work properly with this magazine. The bore is 8/10, with great rifling and some light frosting in the grooves.
