Description
2/17/2026 - This is a factory nickeled S&W Model 1905 revolver made in ~1910 during their third change variation. This is a scarce example as it is not only factory nickeled, but chambered in the less commonly seen .32 Winchester. There were ~20,00 3rd change models produced in this caliber, though we do not know what percentage of that production was factory nickeled. This M1905 is all matching with the barrel and cylinder matching the frame. This particular revolver has retained most of its original nickel finish, but does have some small spots of corrosion near the muzzle, on the yoke, and on the left side of the top strap. There's a spot of wear/flaking on the left side of the frame, as well. Fitted with period-correct wood grips, which are serialized, but with the age of the pencil on the right grip panel, we cannot confirm they are matching to the gun. The five inch barrel shows some frosting and some spots of corrosion in the grooves, but does still retain some strong rifling. Mechanically sound with proper timing and lock-up.
