11/18/25 - This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to obtain a consecutively-numbered set (four guns total) of US Army Sig M17 pistols. What makes this offering more incredible is that they are some of the earliest examples made, having two-digit serial numbers! Single examples of two-digit serials are selling for ~$6k privately and at auction. Selected by the U.S. military in January 2017 as the winner of the highly competitive Modular Handgun System (MHS) competition to replace the Beretta M9 series, the M17 is a variant of SIG Sauer's P320 line of striker-fired, semi-automatic pistols which utilize a serialized fire control unit (FCU) that can be readily swapped between grip frames of differing size, with the M17's FCU incorporating a bilateral thumb safety. These pistols are only a few of the many M17s that were issued out in late 2017, with only 3,000 returned to SIG Sauer and later made available for sale on the commercial market. Each of the four pistols comes with its original matching-numbered box, magazines, extras, owners manual, COA, and FOIA letter that details the chain of custody. In general, each pistol shows just very minor high edge wear with some light handling wear here and there. Each bore is excellent with strong rifling.
From the COA, "This pistol was fielded during the initial domestic and in-theatre deployment of the Modular Handgun System Program. It was manufactured under contract with the U.S. Army to the original specifications, color and configuration of the MHS Program, including the coyote external controls, orange and green night sights, magazines, markings, components and coatings. It also includes the original exclusive government serial number."
