5/29/26- For sale is a pair of WW2 caps, including a WW2 era US Army officer's crusher cap and a German Kyffhauser veterans' organization cap.
The American cap is made of soft brown velvet and leather pieces. The cap exterior is intact with no moth holes or notable damage or discoloration. The woven reinforcement band is also intact. The visor is a single piece of pressed leather with some aging but no damage. The front cockade is nice and intact. The sweatband is intact but the back stitch has come undone, although the rest of the band is firmly attached to the cap. The upper liner is aged and slightly flaky but generally intact. Overall in very good condition.
The German cap is made from a dark blue wool with no damage or staining. The cap band is made from an embroidered dark fabric with alternating embroidered images of the Kyffahuser monument and the swastika. The cap has a metal cockade and a metal Kyffhauser emblem surrounded by a gilt wreath. The cap interior is a blue silk with light wear and a small stain but no damage. The sweatband is intact. Overall in excellent condition.
