2/12/26- For sale is a unique 1911 carrying rack manufactured and issued by the Philadelphia Navy Yard. The rack is a solid wooden board with six leather pouches and straps meant to securely hold 1911 pistols and carry them to wherever they needed to go. The board is about 18x16 inches. The leather is somewhat stiff but it has been tested and a 1911 will still fit securely. Each side is marked with "Pistol Rack .45 Cal Colt Auto. Pistol Model 1911-A1 Ord. Dr No 42807 Mfg At Navy Yard, Phila, PA.". All six pouches and straps are present and intact. A very cool piece in overall very good condition!
