Description
3/17/26 - This is a DWM Luger with an interesting history. It started its life as a commercially sold Luger in the 1920's and was chambered in .30 Luger or 7.65mm. It was later reworked and issued to the German police, likely during the Weimar period. The 7.65mm barrel was replaced to accommodate 9mm Luger (the original serial number was crossed out and matching numbered). A crossed out "7,65" marking was added on the chamber to reinforce the caliber change. There is also an added police sear safety and added "SP. Bn. 265. 1991." unit marking on the front strap (the 265 is crossed out). The gun comes with one matching-numbered police arsenal magazine. The gun has retained about 92% of its bluing with general high edge wear, muzzle wear, and some minor thinning on the chamber. Fitted with excellent wood grips - the left panel is marked with a Simson "Eagle 6" proof. The bore is shiny with strong rifling.
