Description
8/11/26 - This is an early, pre-WW2 Colt Government Government Model sold in the commercial market in 1930. According to the included factory letter, it was shipped to Abercrombie and Fitch on May 22, 1930. It has all the proper markings, and the slide is numbered and matching. The barrel is a WW2-era Colt 45 Auto barrel with a large "G" under the lug. The gun has retained roughly 65% of its original high polish bluing. There is obvious spotty oxidation throughout, and the finish loss is concentrated on the grip straps and along the slide. Fitted with fairly nice period-correct wood grips and comes with one two-tone magazine. The bore has good rifling with just some very minor frosting in the grooves.
