Rare 1906 Vickers Luger - Dutch Contract

9/24/26 - This is a scarce Luger variation that was produced by the Vickers Ltd. Company in England for the Netherlands. Manufactured in about 1921. There were approximately 10,000 made however they are very rare today as they saw considerable use in the Far East and most you see are in terrible condition. Almost all were arsenal refurbished during the 1925-1933 time frame, and that does not detract from the value of these rare pistols. The pistol has a blank chamber area with the front toggle link stamped "VICKERS/LTD" in two lines. The left side of the barrel extension is stamped with the "Crown/W" Dutch Wilhelmina proof and both sides of the extractor are marked: "GELADEN" with the safety area marked "RUST". 1922 date on the barrel indicates it was made that year. This is a 1906 model so grip safety in the frame and no stock lug. The finish rates somewhere between 85-90%. While there isn't a ton of actual finish loss, there is obvious brown patina, dulling in the finish, and areas of light pin-pricking covering the whole gun. A small area of heavy oxidation and pitting at the left front of the slide. Fitted with correct matching-numbered Dutch-contract grips with coarse checking. Comes with a proper Dutch magazine that is heavily chipped. The rifling in the bore is worn with heavy oxidation and pitting throughout.
