Description
6/23/26 - This is a rare 1908 First Issue DWM military Luger. There were only 25,000 1st issue examples produced, and roughly 6,000 were unit marked. This one has no unit markings. The first issue Lugers were the first military produced Lugers in 9mm, as this was one of the most requested changes in response to the earlier 1902 and 1906 models. This one is all matching, has Imperial military acceptance proofs on the left side of the slide, and comes with one original matching-numbered magazine (small chip in the base). It has the proper early features, such as no stock lug, and it originally had no hold-open (one has been since been added at an arsenal). We believe the finish on this gun was restored while it was at the arsenal. There is very little finish loss, just very minor high edge / muzzle wear. Some very light freckling on the grip straps. Fitted with mint un-numbered wood grips. The bore has good rifling with light pin-pricking throughout. It comes with a rare Reichsrevolver holster that was converted to accommodate a Luger.
