Description
10/28/26 - This is a rare Krieghoff Luger issued to the Luftwaffe in 1936, with the full "1936" date on the chamber rather than the two-digit "36" date. It is one of only 2,500 or so produced with a 1936 chamber date, and examples this nice are seldom offered. The gun is all matching and has the proper Krieghoff "Eagle L 2" Luftwaffe acceptance proofs throughout. The original bluing rates about 94-95%, with general high edge wear, muzzle wear, some light spotty wear and dulling on the grip straps, and a series of small dings in the metal on the takedown lever. Fitted with excellent, correct reddish bakelite Krieghoff grips. It comes with a mismatched but period-correct Krieghoff magazine. Very nice bore with great rifling, 8.5/10.
