Description
1/7/26 - This is a zero-prefix Spreewerk P.38 pistol issued to the German military in 1945. The gun is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 88" German military acceptance proofs. The right side of the slide is marked "U". The nature of the rough machining on these Spreewerk guns makes the finish on this particular example difficult to rate, but our best approximation is about 90%. There is thinning in the finish, most noticeable on the left side of the slide and front strap. There are a few very light scratches on the right side of the slide. The decocker is broken, but the rest of the gun is functional. The bore is shiny with decent rifling, but there is light freckling throughout. Excellent period-correct grips.
