Description
10/20/26 - This is a rare DWM Model 1906 American Eagle Luger chambered in 9mm Luger with a 4" barrel. DWM's Model 1906 "New Model" Luger was built for the commercial and export market, and the guns bound for America carried the American Eagle crest over the chamber; most American Eagle 1906s were made in .30 Luger, so a 4" 9mm example like this one is a scarce find. It is all matching with the American Eagle seal on the chamber, and there is a "GERMANY" export marking on the front of the frame. The finish rates roughly 40-50%, with areas of obvious finish loss concentrated mostly on the side plate, the left side of the frame, the grip straps, and the side rails, along with some spots of splotchy discoloration here and there. The front strap shows three small punch marks. Fitted with excellent unnumbered wood grips with a tiny hairline crack in the upper right corner of the left panel, and comes with a proper "GERMANY" marked commercial magazine. The bore is 4/10; the rifling is slightly worn, with obvious pitting throughout.
