Description
7/23/26 - This is a very nice example of a rare "Ku" prefix Luger. The historical significance of these pistols is still largely debated in the collector community, but the general belief is that these are Lugers put together by Krieghoff using leftover parts. This one is all matching, has the proper "Ku" serial prefix, and has the distinctive Luftwaffe markings on the barrel and right side of the slide. This one is even more interesting because it has a scarce "41/42" Code. The side plate is marked with a "42" armorers replacement marking. It also comes with two correct matching-numbered black bakelite bottom magazines and an excellent 1942-dated holster. The finish on the gun rates about 93% with general high edge wear, muzzle wear, a few small marks and scratches here and there, a dot of discoloration around the chamber, and a small area of very light pitting at the front right of the frame. Matching-numbered wood grips with the correct full serial number "2861". The bore is mostly shiny with great rifling, but there is some freckling in the grooves.
