Description
3/20/26 - This is a rare and desirable Colt Cavalry Single Action Army revolver from 1883. The Colt Single Action Army (SAA) revolver, also known as the Peacemaker, is an iconic firearm with a rich history tied to the American West. Initially adopted by the U.S. Army in 1873 as a standard sidearm for mounted troops, it quickly gained popularity among civilians. The SAA was known for its handling, durability, and the .45 Colt cartridge's stopping power. This one is completely matching with a proper 7.5in barrel. It is "US" Property marked on the frame with "DFC" martial markings throughout. Visible military cartouches on the grip panels (faint). This gun is in nice condition for its age. The majority of the original finish is worn, but there is some visible bluing on the barrel and some original case hardening visible on the frame in front of the cylinder. Areas of spotty oxidation and pitting here and there. Fully functional with all four "clicks". The bore is excellent for its age - Most of the bore is shiny and minty for the most part, but there are a few small dots of oxidation here and there. No FFL required.
