Description
7/21/26 - This is a rare, late-war AC 44 Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1944. The upper assembly is matching to itself but mismatched to the frame. It and has the proper "Eagle 359" military acceptance proofs. This one has a rare "Waffen 76" marked barrel, indicating it was made at the Czech FNH factory. There are two variations of these guns with Czech barrels, AC 44 and AC 45. The AC 44 variation is rarer, as only about 3,000 were made as opposed to the 5,000 AC 45's. It comes as a rig with one jvd magazine, one "Eagle 359" Walther magazine, and a noticeably worn 1944-dated holster (the closure strap has torn off). The gun has retained about 93% of its original finish with an area of splotchy discoloration on the right side of the slide, very minor high edge/muzzle wear, and some spotty oxidation on the front strap and top plate. Fitted with reddish bakelite grips. Excellent bore with strong rifling. De-cocker is functional.
