Description
6/18/26 - This is an excellent example of a rare, boxed Sauer 38h sold in the commercial market, likely in 1939. The gun is all matching and has the proper "Crown N" commercial proofs. It comes with a period-correct box, owners manual, cleaning tin, oiler bottle, cleaning patches, cleaning brush, and two proper magazines. The edges of the box are starting to tear - the lid is being held together with black tape, and the bottom with clear scotch tape. Unfortunately, the black tape on the lid is covering the serial number, so we cannot see if it is matching to the gun. However, the last digit is visible "8", which is the same for the gun. The gun itself has retained about 95% of its original high polish finish with some thinning on the tang. While there is not much actual finish loss, there are areas of spotty oxidation on the tang, at the back right of the slide, and on the grip straps. Some light scratching on both sides of the slide and on both grip straps. Mint bore.
