Rare Boxed PP with Matching Mags - SOLD

Date Added: 1/27 - Ok, this one will leave you scratching your head. First, the box is marked PP, but has a imprint of a PPK on the cover. (factory error). Then the gun is slide numbered (before they started doing that) and has 2 matching magazines. You might think "what the heck is going on here?" But lucky for you, I can tell you. And I'm sure this is all original and NOT messed with. The serial and style of numbering is exactly like the luftwaffe issued PP's. In fact, for those who collect serial numbers, they will confirm that it is in the middle of a group of Luftwaffe (waffen proofed) guns. All high polish finish and all factory numbered mags. This one can only be one of the following. It was made as part of the luftwaffe contract but "missed" the waffen stamps. Or, it was an overrun of the luftwaffe contract, and therefore, sold commercially. Since my database documents 3 other guns very close to this one with matching mags, numbered slides, but no waffen proofs I think it was the later. (or maybe special issue to Hilters personal body guards :) Extremely rare for those who like those oddball, high end guns.
