Description
9/22/26 - This is a rare "W-suffix" Walther PPK manufactured in 1939. It is all matching and has the proper "Crown N" proofs. There's very limited knowledge on this variation of PPK, so the exact significance largely remains a mystery in the collector community. Definitely an interesting wartime commercial production piece. It comes with a period-correct box (no label), an original manual, and a cleaning rod in its paper wrapping. Also comes with one wartime magazine - there is an electropenciled number on the tube that is not matching to the gun. The gun has retained roughly 85% of its original high polish finish. The majority of the wear is on the left side of the slide. There is also general high edge wear, muzzle wear, and areas of pitting along both sides of the slide and on the front strap. Fitted with a marbled brown Walther grip - crack on the left side. Very nice bore with good rifling.
