Description
1/7/26 - This is a very nice example of a rare "Ku" prefix Luger. The historical significance of these pistols is still largely debated in the collector community, but the general belief is that these are Lugers put together by Krieghoff using leftover parts. This one is all matching, has the proper "Ku" serial prefix, and has the distinctive Luftwaffe markings on the barrel and right side of the slide. BYF on the toggle, and 41 date on the chamber. The takedown and safety levers have what appears to be original straw-colored finishes - this makes sense for a "Ku" Luger since these are generally believed to be assembled from parts. Matching-numbered wood grips with the correct full serial number "3657". The finish rates about 92-93% with general high edge wear, muzzle wear, an area of minor wear on the back strap, and some light scratches and marks on the front strap. The bore is mostly shiny with strong rifling, but there is some freckling in the grooves. The magazine has the matching serial to the pistol but we don't believe the numbering to be period original.
