Description
2/25/26 - This is a very rare US PROPERTY marked Colt 1908 Pocket Hammerless pistol in .380 caliber. There were only about 3,000 of this variation produced, with blued finish and US PROPERTY marking. The gun was manufactured and issued in 1942, most likely to an officer. We looked through the records, and the officer it was issued to is not recorded. These pistols were primarily issued to personnel of the Bureau of Naval Intelligence and to General Officers of the US Army, but some were sent to the OSS as well as special duty personnel who required a concealable sidearm. This pistol has a matching-numbered slide and has been re-blued. Virtually no finish loss. Fitted with excellent checkered wood grips and comes with one proper magazine. Excellent bore with strong rifling.
