Description

3/21/25 - This is a very rare example of a Colt Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1940. It has a "CSR" inspection stamp on the frame - less than 5,000 of this variation made. It is all correct. The slide is numbered and matching, and the barrel is a correct Colt barrel with a large "G" under the lug. The gun has retained roughly 95% of its original earlier blued finish. There is minor wear on the front strap and high edges, but there are a few areas of visible pinpricking or oxidation. Fitted with correct Coltrock plastic stocks as the change from wood occurred around serial number 718,000. Comes with one commercial mag that is marked 'COLT .45 AUTO' on the base. Strong, shiny bore with minor signs of use.
