Description
5/28/26 - This is a rare CZ 46, a P.38 put-together from leftover Nazi parts and reworked by the Czechs in 1946. This one is all matching, has the proper Czech lion proof (peened, next to the "E"), and a proper Czech "E" proof on the left side of the frame. The frame and slide have "Eagle 88" proofs, indicating they were made by Spreewerk. The left side of the barrel is marked "Waffen 76", indicating it is a scarce, Czech fnh-made made. The finish rates somwhere between 85-90% with general high edge / muzzle wear, thinning and brown patina on the front strap, and some finish loss on the top of the barrel visible in the ejection port. Fitted with excellent reddish bakelite grips. Excellent bore with great rifling. De-cocker is functional. It comes as a rig with a Walther magazine that has been numbered by the police to match, a spare Walther magazine that has been electro-pencil numbered (not matching, noticeably rusted), and a post-war black pebble grain leather holster. The holster has a noticeable musty odor.
