3/26/26 - This a very nice example of an early and rare Mauser C96 from 1900. This one has a "flat side" frame and a large ring hammer. It also has a "Von Lengerke & Detmold New York" retailer marking on the left side of the frame. VL&D was a prominent New York outfitter known for selling high-end sporting arms in the early 20th century. This one is all matching and "Double Crown U" proofed. It comes its original matching-numbered wood stock. The gun's original finish rates about 94% with general high edge wear, muzzle wear, a few small spots of wear along the barrel and right side of the frame, a light streak of wear on the right side of the slide, some minor thinning on the front strap, and a few scratches on the left side of the frame. Excellent bore with great rifling. Fitted with excellent matching-numbered wood grips.
