Description
3/9/26 - This is a nice example of a rare and desirable Nazi P.38 variation - a dual-tone Mauser with an "ac 44" marked FN made slide. The gun is all matching with the proper "Waffen 135" military acceptance proofs. Interestingly enough, there is only one "Waffen 135" proof on the right side of the slide. It has a dual tone finish with a phosphate slide and frame and blued barrel. It comes as a rig with a 1944-dated tan leather holster and two "Eagle 359" marked Walther magazines. These finishes can be a bit difficult to rate, but we estimate this one has retained roughly 80-85%. There is general high edge wear, muzzle wear, and thinning on the front strap. There are small dots of discoloration here and there (typical with these finishes). Fitted with reddish phenolic grips. The majority of the bore is shiny with strong rifling, but there is some light freckling in the grooves.
